Ashley Mclelland

Ashley McLelland is the proud principal at Eagle Ridge Elementary School. She works closely with students, staff, families, and community members to provide a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment that prepares all students for college/career readiness and success.

Before being named principal of Eagle Ridge Elementary, Mrs. McLelland was the Assistant Principal at Eagle Ridge. Mrs. McLelland spent seven years as a K-6 music teacher in PVSchools, three years as a K-8 music teacher, and she is also a proud product of PVSchools. 

Prior to working in PVSchools, Mrs. McLelland received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Redlands and her masters in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. Mrs. McLelland has always been passionate about education and the arts. She has performed abroad in Austria, performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, directed various children’s theatre and choral productions, and started two separate after-school arts education programs. 

Mrs. McLelland and the Eagle Ridge community are committed to empowering students to acquire, demonstrate, and value knowledge and skills that will support them as lifelong learners.

Assistant Principal

Travis Schwan

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL ES

Mr. Schwan currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Eagle Ridge Elementary, where he is dedicated to the school's learning community. As a PVSchools parent himself, he is deeply invested in the success and growth of all our students.

Before joining PVSchools, Mr. Schwan spent 14 years with the Washington Elementary School District, most recently serving as Assistant Principal at Cholla Middle School for four years. During his time there, he honed his skills in effective instructional leadership and fostered supportive, collaborative relationships with students, staff, and families.

His extensive background includes nine years as an elementary teacher, teaching 5th grade, advanced math and math intervention, as well as serving as a District-level K-8 math coach. 

Mr. Schwan holds a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from ASU and a Master's degree of Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
